K-DUG Corporation uses trenchless technology and traditional trenching to repair and revitalize existing sewer systems. Trenchless pipeline design encompasses a variety of subsurface construction techniques involving limited entry/exit holes. Compared to open-cut pipeline replacement,
trenchless technology can save time, money, and protect surface landscaping and other below-ground infrastructure.
Trenchless technology allows K-DUG to upsize an existing sewer with HDPE (high density polyethylene pipe) utilizing the Pipe-Bursting Method.
Pipe-Bursting is a trenchless technology that allows contractors to replace existing sanitary sewer or water lines by pulling a specialized bursting head through the old pipe. As the bursting head splits and expands the old pipe, the new pipe follows and takes its place. This technique is an efficient way to replace a damaged, aging, or undersized sewer or water line, saving time and resources and causing minimal disruption.
